Activities inside the Finca

 

The Mezzanine, the rainforest B&B

A former sheepfold on piles was fitted out in a big mezzanine so that you can sleep on the edge of the forest, surrounded by the night-rustles of the nature, in front of the majestic volcano and its valley, open view on the city of Turrialba which is illuminated at night. About ten beds with mosquito nets are available. There are also a little kitchenette, a small bathroom and toilets, but no electricity.
As the water comes from the river, it is necessary to bring an organic soap with you. It is possible to cook and you also can have your breakfast brought in your bed.

For those who prefer, there is also a possibility of sleeping in a very close hotel, or in the city of Turrialba.

 

Hike “Observation of birds”

Several paths with various themes, lengths and difficulties were fitted out. Only a few minute or the whole day long: numerous options are possible.
Binoculars, books and a guide (French, Spanish, English) are at disposal so that everybody can fully appreciate the divers species of birds: hummingbirds, birds of prey, toucans, parrots, water birds…

 

 

 

Tour on horseback

No matter if you are an experienced rider or not, you can discover the hidden recesses of the exploitation, its magnificent views on the volcano Turrialba and the river Reventazón.
It is also possible to see and participate to various activities of the cowherd, who is pleased to tell about his job. For the beginners, it is possible to take courses.

 

 

Tour of farm animals

This tour lets kids of all ages and there families to realise excursions where you can learn tipical works of the farm in a natural environment, with more than 100 pets (cows, horses, sheeps, goats, chickens, rabbits and worms!)
Kids will work and be involved, will see, touch, feel and dispose of all animals as they want.

Also, we will teach you how to make cheese and we will suggest you to taste of all products produced at the farm.

 

4x4 Tour

You can visit the whole exploitation thanks to numerous passable roads and discover the traditional cultures of Costa Rica.
Then you will reach the beneficio APOT where you can roast your own coffee before tasting delicious organic coffee.

 

 

 

 

Sowing and sponsoring a tree

You can choose the kind of tree you want to plant and then, we will send to you photos of it during three years, for his birthday...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Canyoning in the Finca

This easy Canyoning Trip is accessible to all, no experience needed, just a sense of adventure and nature, far away of the big touristic structures. Our professional guides will give you a thorough safety talk to explain important rappelling and down-climbing techniques and you will be provided with high-quality technical climbing gear. Rappels build slowly so you will gently get used to it. 5 waterfalls in total, with the last one… an exciting 33 feet above a pool where you will be able to take a swim in the middle of the jungle, before drinking an organic coffee produce in the farm.
This unforgettable tour is waiting to be discovered with family or friends, and allows you to mix high action adventure with the beauty of the fauna and flora of the area.

Canyoning Trip- 2 hours
> The price includes: Transfer from Turrialba. Bilingual guides (ENG, SP), Refreshments.
> What to bring? Bedding suit, Shorts or Lycras and trainers or hiking shoes that can get wet, a waterproof camera, dry change of clothes and a towel for after the tour. For people that need to wear glasses, bring an efficient cord.

Existen diferentes instalaciones para todo tipo de necesidades y de presupuesto, que permiten organizar tanto eventos masivos, como cumpleaños, fiestas de empresas, de fin de año, baby shower, reuniones asociativas, eventos corporativos, fiestas temáticas, recepciones y más, en un ambiente natural, con vistas al valle de Turrialba y el volcán.
Asi por ejemplo, cada año, caballeros vienen para la cabalgata (cabalgata infantil con caballitos de palo, exhibición de caballos trotadores, BBQ...).
